Timothy

Haslet

A native of the Pacific Northwest and a graduate of Whitworth University in Spokane,Washington (B.A. in Art: Drawing/Painting/Printmaking), Timothy comes from a family of artists. From as far back as he can remember, he was instructed in art and encouraged in visual expression.

The Impressionists have inspired Timothy, not only in their approach to painting and its application, but also with their supportive community. Many of his landscapes and portraits are also expressionist in nature, wherein communicating emotion through color and motion is key. He strives for connection between the viewer and a sense of place in all he does

Timothy has made extended travels through Europe to study art. Two of his favorite stops have been Monet’s house and garden in Giverny and the Musée D’Orsay in Paris – most notably the room devoted to Van Gogh. Hockney’s Pop-Art Landscapes are also an inspiration to him. Timothy also owns a landscaping business that allows him to study landscapes and to travel throughout Whidbey Island. He has been known to bring a camera and his pochade box along to do quick “plein air” studies. His work is shown at Penn Cove Gallery in Coupeville and PNW Vibes Market + Gallery in Oak Harbor.

Velveteen

Hippo

Velveteen Hippo makes art for and with children. Whidbey Island artist Elizabeth Haslet works in watercolor and ink. Often inspired by the children around her, she enjoys using her art to encourage others. She hopes her whimsical art speaks hope and fun. Haslet believes everyone is creative in their own way. She is a homeschool mom of four and loves spending time playing board games or at the beach.

Inkish Murmuring

Bonnie at Inkish Murmuring has always loved to be out and about in nature and wants to inspire others to love it as much as she does. All her designs are heavily influenced by the her camping, hiking, walking, kayaking, foraging, and swimming adventures in the Pacific Northwest, and from the great peace that settles over her when she is in it.

From stickers and notecards to handstamped cloth napkins, bags, garlands, and banners, all of Bonnie's creations are made with intentionality and mindfulness. Each piece is meant to bring a quiet peace into its new home.

Joybul

Joybul Works was born out of Andrew's desire to create and bring both subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) fandom to life.

Katy

Holley

The Bold Art Show is so excited to have Katyleighartistry, our very own Katy Holley join us! As she says in her own humble words: "I couldn't stop doodling on my school papers, so my parents found an art teacher when I was 12. I fell deeply in love with oil painting, and have been pursuing fine arts ever since. I am grateful to be slowly building my career around my family, and aim to paint (nearly) every evening after my kids are in bed." Her pieces include often birds, landscapes or people, each painted exquisitely. Get a sneak peak by checking out her Etsy shop.

Alicia

McGaha

My name is Alicia McGaha. I have known Whidbey Island as my home for 32 years. I live with my little family of artists; my husband Devon, daughters Natalie and Maris, and son William. I grew up number 10 of 12 siblings. I’ve always been encouraged in my pursuit of art and enjoy it as my hobby/love! I’ve been so blessed to be a part of the Bold community of artists for 10 years now. Looking forward to another fantastic and quality art show.

Natasha

Arroyos

My name is Natasha Arroyos and I’ve been working with various mediums most of my life. I like the challenge of using mostly up cycled materials. Working within the limits of what is available to me, I create clothing and jewelry so that the wearer can enjoy something colorful, but also tough and functional.

And More!
